What a subprocessor is

When Saolabs processes personal data on behalf of a customer, we act as a processor. A subprocessor is a third party we engage to help with that processing, such as a cloud hosting provider.

Experts who work on customer projects under contract with Saolabs are bound by confidentiality obligations and work under our direction.

How we choose subprocessors

We review each subprocessor's security and privacy practices before engaging them. Each one is bound by written data protection terms that are no less protective than those in our data processing addendum.

We remain responsible to our customers for the work of our subprocessors.

Current subprocessors

The table below lists each subprocessor, its purpose and where it processes data. This list will be completed before launch.

  • [SUBPROCESSOR NAME] — [PURPOSE] — [LOCATION]

Notice of changes

Before we add or replace a subprocessor that will process customer personal data, we update this page and notify customers who have asked to receive notices. The notice period is set out in the customer's data processing addendum.

Customers may object to a new subprocessor on reasonable data protection grounds. If we cannot resolve the objection, the customer's options are set out in its agreement with us.

International transfers

Some subprocessors may process data outside the country where it was collected. Where required, we use standard contractual clauses (SCCs) and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to protect those transfers.
